Shining Hope Farms, located on the outskirts of Mt. Holly, N.C., was founded by Paul and Milinda Kirkpatrick in response to the needs in the community to provide therapeutic services in an enriching farm environment. The purpose of the farms’ services is to improve the quality of life of the participants as well as their families. Shining Hope Farms’ programs have been structured to serve individuals and groups with a variety of disabilities such as Cerebral Palsy, Autism, Down’s Syndrome, Developmental Disabilities, Brain Injuries, Hypotomia, and the like. The consumers find wellness, strength, and hope on the back of a horse.

The logo was drawn by Jessica Kirkpatrick at age 14, and is representative of the horse that Jesus will ride when he comes back, (Rev. 19:11-13). As we patiently await His coming, (James 5:7-8), Christian believers are to reflect God’s glory, (2 Cor. 3:18) and shine like the stars, (2 Peter 1:19).
